A member of the Lions Club of Glenorchy has kindly handed over these photos of kids representing the scouts participating at the first ever Lions Billycart Derby conducted at the Technopark.

It certaintly brings back some fond memories of the event which set the record of 46 participants at the venue.

Traditional soapboxes and members of the scout organisation played a significant role in achieving this record as shown by the photos.

The significance of the event was to celebrate the 50th year of Lionism in Australia and the start of ten great years at the Technopark.
